Our Impact.

The past year has been another meaningful one for the Periods for Hope team, with many learnings and exciting events. Our team is grateful to have had the opportunity to continue positively impacting the lives of those in our surrounding communities and to keep working to achieve our mission and vision. In summary, in 2024:

We ran four workshops, reaching over 200 girls and boys.
Our workshops led to 15% of attendees reporting an increase in sexual and menstrual knowledge, and 100% feeling more positive talking about menstruation.
We donated 206 reusable pads to girls around the Western Cape.
We successfully received our official PBO status.
We raised over R90,000 through crowdfunding.

It is only though your support and generous donations that our team is able to do the work that we are so passionate about. In another year where the gender-based violence war continued to rage on the women and girls of our country, we became ever more driven to continue fighting the stigma around menstruation, educating where we can, and spreading love to those in our surrounding communities.
